The Connor Group Kids and Community Scholarship Program
Each year, The Connor Group Kids & Community Partners awards a $2,500 scholarship to a high school student who best demonstrates The Connor Group’s core values.
The application deadline for this round has passed. All applications moving forward will qualify for the next round.
The Connor Group is a real estate investment firm that owns and operates luxury apartments in 14 markets across the U.S. Our philanthropic investment arm – Kids and Community Partners – invests in programs that provide opportunities for disadvantaged youth.
HOW MUCH IS THE SCHOLARSHIP?
Winners will receive a $2,500 scholarship to attend an accredited U.S. college or university. We’ll select a maximum of six recipients each year.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
- High school senior or college student attending or planning to attend an accredited U.S. college or university
- Combined family income of $75,000 or less
- Preference given to students who reside in one of the markets in which we operate: Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dallas, Dayton, Denver, Louisville, Minneapolis, Nashville, Raleigh-Durham, and Tampa.
WHAT IS THE APPLICATION DEADLINE?
We are always looking for exceptional students, so applications may be submitted at any time. To be considered for the 2020 Kids and Community Scholarship, applications must be submitted by January 15th, 2020.
WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF I WON?
Winners will be notified on or before April 1.

Applicants who demonstrate alignment with the Connor Group core values of “Do the Right Thing,” “Relentless Pursuit of Excellence,” “Think Long-Term, Not Short-Term” and “People Count” will have the best chance at winning. You can read more about our core values here.
In addition to basic demographic information, we will ask for evidence of school and community involvement, volunteer work and other “good citizen” activities.
There is no essay, and the entire application should take no more than 30 minutes to thoughtfully complete.
We will ask finalists to participate in a 10-minute video interview with members of the selection committee.
