Summer is a time to enjoy the outdoors. With warmer temps and longer days, it’s time to bask in the sunshine, enjoy a picnic, and surround yourself with nature in all its glory. Residents of our apartments on Vance Jackson are going to be in pure bliss this summer. Not only is there a shimmering swimming pool that you can relax by, but there are also lots of great parks and green spaces near Reserve at Canyon Creek – here are some of our favorites.
Just 15 minutes from our apartments in North San Antonio is Eisenhower Park. Take a relaxing walk on the 6.35-mile trail, dine al fresco at the outdoor grill and picnic area, and let the kiddos have a blast on the playground. There are also several pavilions that are available for rent for private events and parties. Learn more about the park, book a pavilion, and more on the Eisenhower Park website.
Denman Estate Park
Even closer to Reserve at Canyon Creek is Denman Estate Park – a quick 10-minute drive. Walk along the trail while taking in the beauty of the Korean architecture and gorgeous landscape with ponds and gardens. It’s the ideal spot to unwind after a long day or week of work. Learn more about the history of the park and the Korean pavilion on the Denman Estate Park website.

Visitors will find playgrounds, the Witte Museum, San Antonio Zoo, a mini train, historic buildings, and even the oldest municipal golf course in Texas. Visit the Brackenridge Park website for a list of all the park’s amenities, history, and more.
