This golf course was designed by legendary golf course designer Pete Dye, whose legacy can be felt on this beautiful property.

The Golf Club at Little Turtle is also a favorite spot for weddings in the area, with their amazing food, rolling lawns, glittering lakes, and beautiful reception area.

Perhaps most exciting, the golf course received a revival in 2018, which included golf course upgrades, updates to the restaurant, new golf cart trails, and the addition of a stunning event space. This place is more beautiful than ever and definitely worth a day at the links.

Inniswood Metro Gardens: Gracious gardens and walking trails all throughout the year

Situated on 123 acres, touring the lush gardens at Inniswood Metro Gardens is sure to become your new favorite outdoor pastime. Featuring a “natural woodland home to native wildflowers, wildlife, and waterways”, the gardens boast more than 2,000 species of plants, specialty collections, and themed gardens.

Take your kiddies to the children’s garden, which is great for toddlers, preschoolers, and younger elementary kids. Here, the kids can play in the treehouse, discover the secret garden, and reflect by the pond and mini waterfall.

Inniswood Metro Gardens are also great for a leisurely stroll. There are short trails all around the gardens, where you can take in the lush scenery. The longest trail is only a half-mile, but throughout the trial, you’ll discover so many beautiful plants, flowers, and wildlife.

Pets are allowed on the Chipmunk Chatter Trail and must be kept on a leash, which is great news for our dog-loving friends here at The Estates at New Albany, the most dog-friendly apartments in New Albany!

There’s also a picnic area where you and your family can relax and enjoy an afternoon, and of course, the Innis House, which hosts education programs, staff offices, and local art on a monthly basis.

Inniswood Metro Gardens are beautiful every time of year, which is no wonder why they’re a favorite for weddings in the rose garden. The peaceful atmosphere makes it just right for a little romance.

Hoover Reservoir Park

One of central Ohio’s favorite water recreation areas is right here at Hoover Reservoir Park! The 4,700 acres of greenery and landscape span around a large reservoir, and is a great place to go fishing for bass, bluegill, white and black crappies, catfish, carp, and saugeye. The park has a frisbee golf course for those who love to throw a disc around, outdoor picnic areas with grills, a playground for kids, and a walking trail that’s perfect for bikers, joggers, and people walking their furry friends.

Any sailors in the family? Hoover Reservoir is a great place to sail or to go motorboating on a 10 horsepower motorboat or less. Sailors will love what they find at Hoover Sailing Club, which offers sailing classes for people of all levels of experience and ages. And if you join the sailing club, you can partake in club races in different sailing classes, day-sailing, and regular social events. Sailing fleets include the 505, the Highlander, the MC Scow, the Windmill, the Flying Scott, the Interlake, the Thistle, and more small-boat sailing for the modern racer.

Hoover is also the perfect place if you love spending time by the water. It’s a great place for people to go in the summertime and enjoy being near the water, even if it’s just for an afternoon.
