The Drexel at Oakley is located just a short drive from the area’s best museums to learn about art, history, religion, and more. Here are a few of Cincinnati’s top museums near our apartments in Hyde Park.

 

Cincinnati Art Museum

Less than 15 minutes from The Drexel at Oakley is the Cincinnati Art Museum. Located in Eden Park, art-lovers will love wandering through the halls of this gorgeous museum featuring nearly 70,000 works. Guests can enjoy permanent exhibitions as well as traveling and temporary exhibitions as well. The Skirball Museum is the first formally established Jewish museum in the country and it’s definitely worth a visit. Taft Museum of Art

Just over 10 minutes from our Oakley apartments is the Taft Museum of Art. A living landmark in the heart of the city, this museum is known as one of the finest small art museums in the country. It even holds National Historic Landmark status for its historic house and Duncanson murals. In every period-inspired room, guests will find little gems of history with fascinating stories. National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

Open since 2004, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center pays tribute to all of the people and their efforts to abolish slavery and secure freedom for all people. The center offers visitors insight to the struggle many people have had for freedom and challenges them to contemplate the meaning of their own freedom.
