And for residents of our Uptown Dallas apartments, there are plenty of incredible places to get outdoors, breathe in some fresh air, and enjoy life – all within a short drive from L2 Uptown. Here’s a quick look at the fun parks and outdoor spaces that you’ll have fun exploring.

Trammel Crow Park

Enjoy a peaceful walk or day out on the lake at Trammel Crow Park – just 10 minutes away from our apartments in Uptown Dallas. As part of the Trinity River Corridor, Trammel Crow Park is a great place to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. Walk along the Trinity Skyline trail and Trinity Levee Top Loop Trail (6.2 miles) or sit on the shores of Crow Lake with a picnic while enjoying gorgeous views of downtown Dallas. Don’t forget to take a peek at the stone cow sculptures as well.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is the perfect place to connect to nature and has been listed among the top arboretums in the entire world. Located on White Rock Lake, the 66-acre park and garden features special exhibits, themed gardens, tranquil relaxation spots, a Children’s Adventure Garden, and so much more. The Arboretum also offers cooking classes that teach you to prepare gourmet dishes using ingredients grown in the local, on-site gardens. Learn more on their website.

White Rock Lake Park

With nearly 2,000 sprawling acres, White Rock Lake Park has every outdoor recreational activity you could possibly want or imagine. Hiking, biking, trails, picnic areas, event spaces, blackland prairie, bird watching, and a dog park are some of those activities – just to name a few. After hiking among the 9.33 miles of trails, stop by the White Rock Lake Museum and Bath House Cultural Center. And if you haven’t visited the arboretum mentioned above, this is a great opportunity to combine the visits. Keep an eye out for wildlife! The park is home to over 33 types of mammals, 54 varieties of reptiles, 217 species of birds, and 19 kinds of fish.

Turtle Creek Park/Oak Lawn Park

In just a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk, residents of our Uptown Dallas apartments can find themselves at the beautiful Turtle Creek Park, also formerly known as Oak Lawn Park, which is part of the Turtle Creek Conservancy. This 20-acre park features peaceful gardens and fun recreation available on the courts. Guests can enjoy running trails, a nature observation platform, and plenty of relaxing spots to sit and read a book.

Klyde Warren Park

Another nearby gem is Klyde Warren Park – just a mile and a half away. Visitors will find a fenced-in dog park, 5 acres of green space, and lots of fun events and activities that are going on daily. Get your fitness on (for free!) at one of the parks many fitness events such as yoga, Zumba, boot camps, tai chi, and ballroom dancing. Hungry?
