Studio Movie Grill

An ideal outing for all ages, Studio Movie Grill combines first-run movies with in-theater dining for an all-in-one entertainment experience. Freedom Park

If you want to take your fun outdoors, head to Freedom Park – just over 3 miles from Elizabeth Station. This 98-acre park is the perfect place to spend a Saturday with friends, family, or even by yourself! Freedom Park boasts four baseball fields, batting cages, 12 tennis courts, four soccer fields, playgrounds, walking paths, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and a 7-acre lake. Belk Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center

Featuring state-of-the-art equipment, the Belk Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center hosts events from grand opera to rock concerts to author readings and stand-up comedy – and it’s less than 2 miles away from our apartments in Charlotte, NC. The horseshoe-shaped theater creates an intimate atmosphere with world-class acoustics and is the ultimate place to see any show or performance. Independence Park

Independence Park is another great option for when you want to head outside, relax, and get some fresh air. With just 19-acres, this park is still jam-packed with fun and activities. The park boasts a baseball field, basketball courts, volleyball courts, table tennis, shelters with grills, walking trails, and a playground for the kiddos. Picnic time, anyone? Bank of America Stadium

You only need to drive less than 10 minutes to reach one of the largest entertainment venues in the Carolinas – the Bank of America Stadium. Most notable home to the Carolina Panthers, this massive stadium boasts nearly 75,000 seats and sits on 33 acres. Not only can you catch NFL games, but guests can expect to see college sports, big-name concerts, and the stadium will be the future home of Charlotte FC of Major League Soccer. Romare Bearden Park

Named for Charlotte-born artist Romare Bearden, the Romare Bearden Park is just over 2.5 miles from Elizabeth Station. The 5.4-acre park offers fitness and cultural programs throughout the year and features two gardens, a courtyard of dining tables, a formal event field, several waterfalls, and a play area with interactive dance chimes. The Mint Museum

Showcasing hundreds of collections of art and design from around the globe, The Mint Museum is comprised of the Mint Museum Randolph and Mint Museum Uptown. The Mint Museum Randolph was the first art museum in North Carolina and features numerous permanent and rotating collections.
