Your new favorite breakfast or brunch spots near our apartments in the Highlands Louisville KY

The kitchens in the units of our Highlands apartments are fit for a chef – with granite countertops, subway tile backsplashes, and upgraded stainless steel appliances, you’ll absolutely love cooking meals at home. But when you don’t feel like making a mess in your kitchen, you’re just not in the mood for cooking, or you want to meet your friends for a great brunch on the town, there are some amazing spots within a short distance. Here are the yummiest brunch spots near Highland Station.

The Grales/Gralehaus

When you want a top-notch brunch experience, head over to The Grales at their Gralehaus for fantastic coffee and food, less than a mile from our apartments in the Highlands Louisville. With a food menu by executive chef Jonathan Searle, expect to find menu items like whipped burrata toast, griddled country ham and cheese, shroom n’ grits, and “The Best Damn Coffee Cake.” They also boast amazing coffee, spirited beverages, beer, and wine. Head over to The Grales website for menus and all the other details you need.

Big Bad Breakfast

The first thing you’ll read when you go to their website is that “Big Bad Breakfast is not your average breakfast joint. In fact, it’s not just for breakfast.” If that doesn’t entice you, we don’t know what will. Known as the brainchild of James Beard award-winning John Currence custom-created meats, fresh biscuits and preserves, locally roasted coffee, and some of the best cocktails you’ll find in the area…or anywhere really. Head over to the Big Bad Breakfast website for their story, menus, and more.

Maple Street Biscuit Company

As the name implies, Maple Street Biscuit Company is doing biscuits right – but they’re so much more than that. Located just 3 minutes from our Highlands apartments, this brunch spot offers biscuits and gravy, biscuit sandwiches, waffles, “frittaffles,” bread pudding, steak and eggs, and super delicious sides. Pair your brunch with a caramel toffee crunch latte, cinnamon hot chocolate, or a mason jar mimosa. Visit the Maple Street Biscuit Company’s website for hours, menus, and more.

Highland Morning

If you have guests visiting, want to impress your friends, or you’re just craving a perfectly cooked brunch – you’ll want to head to Highland Morning. Serving breakfast and brunch 364 days a year, their menu boasts classic items like Benedicts, breakfast burritos, an egg sandwich, and scrambles. They also have one-of-a-kind items like Key Lime pancakes, Dreamsicle pancakes, a Monte Cristo, and chilliquiles. The Highland Morning website has all the details you’ll need.

Wiltshire Pantry

The Wiltshire Pantry, just an 8-minute walk from our Highlands apartments, is a bakery and cafe serving up an extensive collection of pastries, desserts, artisan breads, breakfast, and brunch – what more do you really need? Not to mention, their brunch menu is not your average brunch menu. Instead, you’ll find creative creations such as a Kati Roll with scrambled eggs, saag paneer, mango chutney, and mint crema, or a sausage crumpet with a pork sausage patty, apple jam, and sharp white cheddar on a homemade crumpet. Visit the Wiltshire Pantry website to view their breakfast, brunch, and lunch menus.

Wild Eggs

Serving elevated food in a casual and welcoming atmosphere, Wild Eggs is a locally-owned eatery open since 2007. Whether you’re the pickiest eater or the most adventurous eater you know, you’re sure to find something on their menu that will make you drool. Try a 4-egg omelet, country-fried steak, or skillet, or go for something sweet such as strawberry tall cakes or a Belgian waffle. They also serve breakfast cocktails and coffee drinks as well.
