Fazio Canyons Golf Course – Tom Fazio, the legendary golf designer, has put his signature touch on this par-72 course with epically scenic views just over 2 miles from our Hill Country apartments. Red Oaks and Sycamore trees line the hole of this award-winning course, and you can take in breathtaking views of Short Springs Branch, a stunning limestone bed creek that winds throughout the area. Fazio Canyons was the first resort course in Texas to be certified as an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary and was also designated as a Certified Signature Sanctuary. Fazio Foothills Golf Course – Ranked as the  #3 top course you can play in Texas by Golf Magazine, Fazio Foothills Golf Course has recently been renovated and offers a challenging but fair layout. The dramatic course offers five sets of elevated tee boxes with gorgeous, long fairways protected by cliffs and surrounded by waterfalls and creeks. Coore Crenshaw Golf Course – Hop in the car and take a short 5-minute drive to the Coore Crenshaw Golf Course. Two-time Masters Champion and Austin native Ben Crenshaw partnered with architect Bill Coore to help make this golf course come to fruition. Known as a shorter course, Coore Crenshaw features lush fairways lined by densely packed trees. The course is forgiving for the novice golfer but also a nice challenge for the more seasoned golfer. Palmer Lakeside Golf Course – Head north for just over 30 minutes and you’ll reach the incredible hidden retreat of the Palmer Lakeside Golf Course. The par-71 course was designed by golf great Arnold Palmer and features dramatic elevation changes, panoramic lake views, and cascading waterfalls. Lost Creek Country Club – Just a quick ten-minute drive from our apartments in southwest Austin is Lost Creek Country Club. The world-class par-72 course offers one of the most challenging layouts in Austin. You’ll find a driving range, putting green, and a brand new learning center to help you improve your swing using state-of-the-art technology. Lost Creek has been dubbed one of Austin’s best courses and is also one of the area’s most environmentally friendly courses as well. Golf ATX Courses (Municipal)

Roy Kizer Golf Course – Named for Roy Kizer, a long time golf course superintendent at Lions Municipal Golf Course from 1937 until his retirement in 1973, the Roy Kizer Golf Course is spread over 200 acres in Southeast Austin. Hancock Course – Founded in 1899, the Hancock Golf Course is one of the oldest golf courses in the state. The par-35, 9-hole course is short but boasts gorgeous views of Waller Creek. Check rates and make reservations on the course’s website.

Lions Municipal Course – Known as one of Austin’s most popular city courses, the Lions Municipal Course. The 18-hole course was selected by the Texas Golf Hall of Fame and added to the Texas Registry of Historic Golf Courses. Make a reservation and check rates via the website.

Jimmy Clay Course – Opened in 1974, the Jimmy Clay Golf Course is surrounded by Williamson Creek in Southeast Austin. “The Jimmy Clay Golf Course became part of a 36-hole complex with the addition of the Roy Kizer Golf Course in 1994. Together, the two courses make up one of the finest and diverse 36 hole public complexes in the state,” says their website.
