But when you feel like getting a little closer to nature or finding a green space, there are lots of amazing parks located just a short drive away. In fact, the Wheaton Park District boasts 829 acres of parks, pools, and open spaces. Here are some of our favorite parks near Wheaton 121 for you to explore.
Memorial Park
You’ll only need to walk less than 10 minutes (or drive about 3 minutes) from our Wheaton apartments to find yourself at Memorial Park. This 2.5-acre park has lots of green space for picnics, lounging, and playing, tennis courts, petanque terrain, and an incredible live music venue. “The newly renovated Memorial Park features a state-of-the-art bandshell and Veterans Memorial, dedicated outdoor recreation and event space located in Wheaton’s most charming and historic park,” it says on the park’s website. Adams Park
Even closer to Wheaton 121 is Adams Park, less than a quarter mile away from your front door. Visitors will love walking the gorgeous, manicured paths while taking in the sights of stunning greenery, a fountain, or relaxing on one of the many benches for contemplative and quiet thinking. Central Park
Less than half a mile from our Wheaton apartments is Central Park—a park that truly has it all. This 18.8-acre green space boasts an open play area, baseball fields, tennis courts with lighting, ice skating during the winter, and plenty of drinking fountains and restrooms when you need a break from all that running around and playing. Northside Park
One of the most gorgeous parks in the area, Northside Park, is just a 6-minute drive from your driveway. This massive park has nearly 70 acres of green space with many sports and recreation facilities; basketball courts, baseball fields, tennis courts, soccer fields, a playground, aquatic center, ice skating, and a sledding hill are just a few of the options. Hoffman Park
Hoffman Park is just a quick 5-minute drive from our Wheaton apartments, and it’s the perfect place to spend the day with your little ones or when you want to get some fresh air. Featuring just under 8 acres of stunning greenery, the park also has a tot play area, playground, soccer field, baseball field, and a pond/wetland. Glen Ellyn Manor Park
There is so much outdoor fun to be had at Glen Ellyn Manor Park. Guests will find a playground with swings, an open play area, a natural wood area with a walking trail, picnic tables, and more.
