7venth Sun Brewing Company
Name your favorite type or style of beer and 7venth Sun Brewing Company is brewing it up. The cozy and snug storefront and taproom have a welcoming atmosphere and sits right on the waterfront. If you’re a craft beer fan, you’ll most definitely want to pay a visit to Florida’s oldest microbrewery, Dunedin Brewery. Just under 10 minutes away from our apartments in Clearwater is Sea Dog Brewing Company and Cantina. As you can probably guess from the name, this brewery and restaurant welcome your pooch with open arms. In the cantina, you’ll find Mexican food and tequila that is perfect for sunny Florida days. Wildflower Cafe and Market
Set in a gorgeous location in Clearwater, the Wildflower Cafe and Market has a wonderful atmosphere that even your dog will love. Sit down and have some breakfast, brunch, or lunch while sipping on beer or wine. Menu items include sandwiches, wraps, croissants, and more. After you’re done eating, be sure to pop in the market to stock up on grab-and-go items, baked goods, gifts, cards, and other goodies. Known as a Pinellas County staple, Pete & Shorty’s Tavern has been serving the neighborhood (and their dogs!) for over 15 years. You’ll only need to drive 10 minutes to reach one of the best happy hours in the area at Rumba Island Bar & Grill. And the best part? Your fur baby can come and sit on the Tiki Deck too! Beaches and Parks
Honeymoon Island State Park
You and your dog will have an absolute blast when you spend the day at Honeymoon Island State Park. The natural barrier island has four miles of sandy beaches for your pup to run wild and free. In addition to their own beach at the southern tip of the island, your dog is welcome to join you on the nature trail as well. Just remember to keep them on a leash in those areas! Fort De Soto Park
Head south to visit the one-of-a-kind Fort De Soto Park that has won numerous awards and recognition for its beauty and wildlife. Your dog will have so much fun playing at the Paw Playground and running around on the Dog Beach. If you feel like wandering around on your own, there is a 7-mile paved trail, a mangrove for canoeing and kayaking, and the historic fort batteries to explore. Enterprise Dog Park
A quick 10-minute drive will take you to Enterprise Dog Park where your furry friend can run off-leash. The spacious field has 8 doggy water fountains, an obstacle course/agility equipment, and a rinsing station. Safety Harbor Dog Park
Located in the city’s largest park, the Safety Harbor Dog Park is a local favorite. There is a separate play area for larger dogs and smaller dogs, so you won’t need to worry about your tiny pup getting trampled by a Great Dane. There are also plenty of trees so shade is abundant.
