Here’s a closer look at just some of the pet-friendly activities, restaurants, and bars nearby.
Restaurants and Bars
Lucky Dog Bark & Brew
Grab the leash, hop in the car, and drive north to Lucky Dog Bark & Brew. If there was ever heaven on earth, it’s here. Lucky Dog offers an indoor and outdoor dog park with a sports bar – so, everyone gets to play! In addition to the parks, they also offer doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming as well. Start an account, make table reservations, book dog services, and more on their website.
Canine Cafe
Canine Cafe – another slice of doggy heaven. This is the perfect place to take your pup when you really want to spoil them. They have dog supplies, toys, food, and accessories as well as a DIY dog spa. The real icing on the cake, however, is their on-site dog bakery where you can treat your pooch to healthy (and adorable!) treats and cakes. Visit their website for hours and more information.
Angry Ale’s
Lunch, dinner, happy hour, and trivia – all with your dog. You can make this happy at Angry Ale’s. Not only are they host of Charlotte’s longest-running trivia night, but they also show all the games you want to see (specifically Appalachian State, Tennessee Volunteers, Green Bay Packers, and (of course) Panthers football). It’s by far the coolest go-to spot in the neighborhood where you can hang with your best friends – even ones with fur. Head to their website for all the details.
Brazwells Pub
“Serving great food and good times since 1969,” is what Brazwells Pub boasts on their website. Their chef-driven menu features wings, burgers, wraps, salads, and more. Enjoy some great food on the patio with your dog while you also take advantage of their daily drink specials like $2 mimosas, $3.50 drafts, and half-priced cocktails. They also host trivia every Wednesday night. Check out their website for the full menu and the daily list of specials.
The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
If you’re a beer garden fan, The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is the perfect spot to enjoy a brew with your fur baby. Featuring the area’s largest beer garden (dog-friendly!), you and your friends can enjoy award-winning beers in a beautiful park-like setting. Not only that, but you can dine on some German favorites like pretzels, sausage, and schnitzel or opt for something else like a burger, brisket sandwich, or pizza. Head to the website to see the full menu, learn more about the beer, and make reservations.
