Golden Belt Arts

Once the site of historic textile mills, the Golden Belts Arts campus is now a vibrant hub where people create, work, and live. Featuring over 327,000 square feet of commercial space, you’ll find a thriving arts community, modern offices, and spacious lofts. The town-square-style campus boasts the Golden Belt Warehouse Studios where world-class artists work and share their art and multiple galleries for art viewing as well. When schedules and regulations permit, Golden Belts Arts is also a go-to place for live music. Keep an eye on their website for current artists, exhibitions, and future events.

Liberty Arts Gallery

Just minutes from our Raleigh-Durham apartments is the Liberty Arts Gallery and Community Artspace. Featuring a collective of artists’ studios, aspiring and established artists alike use the space to create, share, and sell their art. Not only can you visit the gallery to view and purchase art—you can also create some yourself! The Liberty Arts Gallery offers classes ranging from metal casting, pottery, woodturning, welding, pipe-making, and more. Visit the gallery’s website for artist information and class schedules.

Carolina Theatre

Theater, music, and film can all be found under one roof at the Carolina Theatre. The building itself has been open since 1926, previously known as the Durham Auditorium, and was renovated three years later to become the Carolina Theatre. The venue itself was graced by celebrities such as Katherine Hepburn and Ronald Reagan back in the day, and now, it’s the setting for a wide variety of top-name performing artists. View the event calendar, purchase tickets, and learn more about the venue on the Carolina Theatre website.

Nasher Museum of Art

Opened in 2005, the Nasher Museum of Art is a short 5-minute drive from West Village. The 65,000-square-foot museum is home to a groundbreaking collection of contemporary art from diverse artists that are historically underrepresented—focusing on artists of African descent. Other exhibitions include European and American paintings, Medieval art, classical antiquities, and more. When able, the Nasher Museum of Art also offers lectures, performing arts events, Family Days, and other social gatherings. Visit the museum’s website for hours, admission, exhibitions, and other details.

Durham Performing Arts Center

The Durham Performing Arts Center has become one of North Carolina’s favorite venues for live entertainment.
