The list of wonderful perks and amenities near our Oakley apartments is a long one. From our spacious, open-concept floor plans to our resort-style swimming pool and personal EV charging stations, The Drexel at Oakley is an incredible place to live. And when you feel like leaving home to get some fresh air, there are some amazing parks nearby where you can stroll, bike, hike, and more—here are some of our favorites.
Lindner Park Nature Preserve at the McCullough Estate
Just ten minutes from our Oakley apartments is the Lindner Park Nature Preserve at the McCullough Estate. Once home to the founders of United Dairy Farmers, the Lindner Family, this location is now home to abandoned structures scattered among beautiful walking trails and nature. The easy-to-walk trails are clearly marked and take around 30 minutes to complete. Pack a picnic because there are lots of tables for you to sit and relax at afterward. Learn more on the Linder Park Nature Preserve at the McCullough Estate info website.
Ault Park
Ault Park is the place to go when you want to escape for “minutes that last hours,” as it says on the park’s website. For those that want to hike and walk, you’ll love exploring the many trails within the park. Take in some fresh air while casually walking the Tree Trail, which is 0.7 miles of gradual and flat ground. Or, get your heart pumping on the short but somewhat challenging Shattuc Trail. Or, challenge yourself by making loops and combinations with all the trails. Learn more about the features of the park, view a trail map, and more on the Ault Park website.
Bettman Nature Preserve and Center
Less than ten minutes from our apartments in Oakley is the Bettman Nature Preserve and Center. Once there, you’ll find six wooded acres of gorgeous land with magnificent trees, flowers, shrubs, and other flora. In addition to the pleasant hiking and walking trails, you can also learn about the park and its wildlife, nature, and more at the Nature Center. See everything the park has to offer on the Bettman Nature Preserve and Center website.
Avon Woods Nature Center and Preserve
For a stunning, moderately-challenging hiking experience, head to the Avon Woods Nature Center and Preserve. The easily-located trails consist of rolling hills, a stream-cut valley, and beautiful woods. Like Bettman above, there is a Nature Center for you to learn more about your incredible surroundings. Head to the Avon Woods Nature Center and Preserve website for all the details.
Clear Creek Park
You’ll need to drive just over 10 minutes to get to the popular and sprawling Clear Creek Park. Boasting 127.4 acres of land near the Little Miami River, this park is home to 23 soccer/lacrosse/rugby fields, 6 pickleball courts, a 0.7-mile paved trail, as well as an award-winning “Oasis” which houses restrooms (seasonal), landscaped arbors, and a pavilion. Visit the Clear Creek Park website for information and details.
