Fall and Halloween events coming up in October near our Hyde Park apartments

Just because summer is over, doesn’t mean the fun has to end. In fact, there are tons of awesome fall and Halloween-themed events coming up near our Oakley apartments. So, throw on an extra layer or two and head out to these fun and unique events happening just a short drive from The Drexel at Oakley.

 

Cincy Sweetest Day R&B Fest

When: Saturday, October 16th, Doors at 6:00 pm, Show at 8:30 pm

Where: Heritage Bank Center, 100 Broadway, Cincinnati, OH

What: For a night of silky smooth R&B sounds from your favorite artists and groups, the Cincy Sweetest Day R&B Fest is a night that can’t be missed. Expect to groove to the songs of Keith Sweat, Bel Biv Devoe, Bobby Brown, Ginuwine, and Silk. The best part? The venue is less than 15 minutes from our Hyde Park apartments.

Jazz in the Park

When: Every Monday, May through October, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Where: Washington Park, 1230 Elm Street, Cincinnati, OH

What: Music fans of our apartments in Oakley will love attending Jazz in the Park, a weekly concert that is open and free to the public. Listen to some of the best local and regional jazz acts while enjoying complimentary wine tasting and a cash bar.

Black Label Society – WEBN Night of the Rocking Dead

When: Saturday, October 30th, Doors at 6:30 pm, Show at 7:30 pm

Where: Bogart’s, 2621 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH

What: Experience a night of metal and rock to celebrate Halloween at the WEBN Night of the Rocking Dead. Dress up in your spookiest costume and rock out to Black Label Society, Obituary, and Prong. All ages welcome.

Fall on the Farm

When: Daily through October 31st, 9 am to 7 pm

Where: Bloom & Berries Farm Market and Garden Center, 9669 S. State Route 48, Loveland, OH

What: What better way to celebrate the season of fall than picking pumpkins, wandering through a corn maze, and petting farm animals? You can do all of that and more at Fall on the Farm hosted by Bloom & Berries Farm Market. Don’t forget to try one of their famous Caramel Apple Cider Floats – there’s also a beer garden for adults.

The USS Nightmare

When: Now through November 6th, Sun/Mon/Tues – 7 pm to 11 pm, Sat/Sun – 7 pm to 1 am

Where: 101 Riverboat Row, Newport, KY

What: Not for the faint of heart, by far one of the scariest haunted experiences in the region, The USS Nightmare is the spookiest way to celebrate Halloween. Held aboard a real steam-powered dredge boat, choose from three eerie tours as you wander the two decks and hear stories of a haunted past – complete with terrifying characters in Hollywood makeup, jumping out to scare you around every turn.

The Dent Schoolhouse

When: Now through November 6th, Thurs/Sun – 7:30 pm to 10 pm, Fri/Sat – 7:30 pm to 12 am

Where: The Dent Schoolhouse, 5963 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati, OH

What: Known as one of the scariest and most haunted places in the world, The Dent Schoolhouse is the place to visit when you want to have an absolutely bone-chilling experience. The haunted 1984 schoolhouse has a tragic, morbid, and evil past. Each year, revelers come to walk the grounds while getting spooked by disturbing and wicked characters along the way.
