Lowry Beer Garden – 4-minute drive or 10-minute walk

Nestled in its very own park, the Lowry Beer Garden celebrates craft beer culture with an extensive and thoughtful beer selection. Sit in their 9,000 square-foot outdoor area while sipping on beer and enjoying freshly-baked pretzels, delicious brats, house-ground burgers, and salads. With communal-style picnic table seating, you’re sure to meet some new friends in the neighborhood. And the best part? You get to walk home to our Lowry apartments.

North County – 4-minute drive or 11-minute walk

Transport yourself from Denver to San Diego when you visit North County. This creative and fun establishment is serving cuisine inspired by Baja California and San Diego beach culture. On their menu, you’ll find some of the best fish tacos in the city, ceviche, oysters, and tortas. And, of course, all of their tortillas are handmade. You’ll find over 100 tequilas on their menu as well, so you can enjoy a handcrafted margarita on their covered patio.

The Tavern Lowry – 4-minute drive or 16-minute walk

The Tavern has multiple locations around Denver, and one happens to be right down the street. Sharing a state-of-the-art building with the Soiled Dove (more below), The Tavern Lowry is a family-friendly and sports-fan friendly pub where you can enjoy a pint, some great American fare, and watch the big game on one of their many TVs. Burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and flatbreads are what you can expect to find on their massive menu.

The Soiled Dove – 4-minute drive or 16-minute walk

If live music is what you’re after, make your way to the Soiled Dove. Known as one of Denver’s premier locations to see a concert, the venue provides an intimate experience with three levels of tiered seating. No matter what genre of music you’re into, the Dove hosts shows 2-3 nights a week (check their website for rescheduled shows and updated health information). Appetizers and cocktails are available during the shows.

Cafe Mercato – 3-minute drive or 10-minute walk

It’s only human to crave Italian food once a month, week, or even daily – thankfully, Cafe Mercato is here for it. This brand-new restaurant is serving Southern Italian fare with a lighter approach. Start with shareable plates like crispy brussel sprouts or burrata before moving on to entrees such as pappardelle with slow-braised meat sauce, ricotta gnocchi, house sausage, chicken parmigiana, and more. Of course, the pizza is wood-fired and simple with local, fresh ingredients.

Chop Shop – 6-minute drive or 17-minute walk

If you’re looking for fast, delicious food without any pretentiousness, Chop Shop Casual Urban Eatery is your place. The menu is thoughtful, fresh, and doesn’t have any fuss of a full-service restaurant. Order a burger, sandwich, or an entree of slow-cooked short ribs or salmon fillet before sitting down with an adult beverage or taking it to-go. The quick-serve restaurant also strives to make the smallest eco-footprint possible and uses bamboo plate ware, reclaimed wine bottles for glasses, reloadable kegs, and other commendable efforts.

Officers Club – 4-minute drive or 11-minute walk

Celebrating the history of Lowry Airforce Base, Officers Club Cocktail Bar and Dining Room serves classic American fare and expertly-crafted cocktails with an emphasis on the Old Fashioned – 10 different varieties, in fact. On the menu, you’ll find homemade spaghetti and meatballs, bistro steak and frites, crab cakes, burgers, and a lot more. Be sure to enjoy a cocktail or supper while enjoying live music on Thursday and Friday evening.
