Lock 27 Centerville Brewpub and Brewery
Just a 10-minute drive from our Miamisburg apartments, located at 1035 South Main Street, Lock 27 Centerville Brewpub is authentically different. This gem of a brewpub is a local favorite and features a broad range of thirst-shattering house beers including IPA, American Pale Ale, Oatmeal Stout, American Brown Ale, and Golden Ale. And don’t forget to arrive hungry because at Lock 27, each craft beer comes with recommended food pairings from the menu, and their unique gastropub kitchen includes the most fantastic flavors from around the world.
Lock 27 offers an extensive menu to satisfy any cravings you might have. Their appetizers include smoked wings, Belgian-style frites (really good fries), soft pretzel twists handmade by Cincinnati’s Brezel’s Pretzels, meat and cheese board, Pierogies, and more!
In addition to your appetizer, you can start with the Soup Du Jour or their famous Beer Cheese Soup, served with popcorn.
Not in the soup mood? Lock 27 has Caesar Salad, Orchard Salad, or House Salad to choose from, and you can add your choice of herb roasted chicken, anchovies, shrimp, or salmon.
Lock 27 offers delicious lunch time combinations with incredible sandwich selections including a bacon burger, Cuban panini, breakfast sandwich, and even the vegan-favorite, the Beyond Burger. If you are looking to have a full entrée, you have your choice of blackened fish, pulled pork or chicken tacos, pasta, chicken, shrimp & grits, fish and chips, and more. Nine minutes from our Miamisburg apartments, located at 760 N. Main Street, Crooked Handle is a one-stop entertainment venue with a brewery, eats, shops and special events. Crooked Handle offers a gigantic selection of tasty brews including IPAs, lagers, ales, stouts, ciders, porters, wines, and a full bar featuring premium spirits.
Since Crooked Handle has “no rules”, feel free to order from a variety of fantastic area restaurants for convenient carry-out or delivery. This brewery already has plenty of menus to choose from, and local restaurants will deliver just about everything including pizza, steak, burgers, salads, and yes… even sushi! If you’d rather bring something from home, you can certainly bring your own prepared foods. And the staff at Crooked Handle is more than happy to make beer food pairing suggestions for whatever you end up eating.
What are the weekends like at Crooked Handle?
On Friday night, you better come hungry for the fabulously feasty Food Truck Fridays! The menu changes weekly depending on the food truck and features foods like an incredible Philly cheesesteak one Friday night, a burning, overstuffed delicious taco on the next Friday night and more. Whatever kind of truck is there on Friday night, Crooked Handle has a delicious brew to wash it all down.

Also 10 minutes from our apartments in Miamisburg, located at 497 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, Heavier Than Air Brewing Co. is a cool and quirky brewpub with some delicious craft brews you just have to try. This goes double for any Game Day! Yes, Heavier Than Air is the place to be to watch your favorite sporting events.
Heavier Than Air (HTABC) is an aviation-themed brewery that is all about anything aviation related. They claim to have “the finest aviation-themed craft brew in the Southwestern Ohio area”, a claim that no one has disputed.
“Bold, well-crafted beers, inspired by mankind’s courageous attempts to conquer the air, and beyond” is how they describe their brews. HTABC often honors historical figures in the aviation industry, like Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Cochran, who set dozens of flying speed and distant records in a time when female pilots were a rarity. Some examples of their aviation-themed craft brews are the Irvin Jump Test Double Brown Ale and the Thanksgiving Carry-on Pumpkin Ale.
Also try the Earn Your Wings Black Currant #2 Golden Ale, Lift Equation Pale Ale, McCook Bound Stout, Balloon Factory ESB #1.1 Extra Special / Strong Bitter, JP-7 MKII IPA (named after a jet propellant), and Lost At Sea, Pt 2 Red Ale.
If you want a bite to eat while at HTABC, they encourage you to bring in outside food for you and your friends to chow down on while watching your favorite team on TV. Or you can get your grub from one of the many food trucks that frequent HTABC.

A 14-minute drive from our Miamisburg apartment community, located at 3022 Wilmington Pike, Eudora Brewing Company boasts a variety of flavorful beers as well as a small selection of wine, hard cider and canned soda. Eudora has an incredible variety of beers with flavors that include Lager, Pilsner, Pale Ale, IPA, Double IPA, Australian Pale Ale, Amber Ale, Oktoberfest, Pilsner, Belgian Golden Strong Ale, Oatmeal Stout, a nutty chocolatey Brown Ale, and more!

Eudora offers brew sessions during the weekends where their brewmasters guide you through the brewing process for a fun afternoon of creating what you like best… delicious craft beer.
