With sunny and warm days throughout the year, it’s always a good idea to take advantage of all the awesome outdoor parks, green spaces, and beaches nearby. Here are some of our favorite spots to spend the day outdoors near Grand Riviera Miramar.
River Run Park
Located just over 5 minutes from our apartments in Miramar is River Run Park. This 8.17-acre park boasts walking trails, water access for fishing, a tennis court, a playground, a rentable pavilion, and a handball court. Hollywood Dog Beach
Let your dog run free with their paws in the sand at Hollywood Dog Beach. You and your pup can both enjoy a day in the sun while socializing, relaxing, and having fun. Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park
A popular location for fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, bicycling, and picnicking, the Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park is just over 30 minutes from our Miramar apartments. It’s the ideal place to escape the hectic pace of the city and immerse themselves in nature. Flamingo Gardens

When you want more than just your average beach day, head over to Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. This picturesque park has soft sand for relaxing between dips in the ocean, and when you feel like being a little more active, play a game of volleyball or basketball on the courts on-site. The little ones will love the beachside playground as well. So pack up your beach bag with your sunny day necessities and spend hours in the sun. Just 14 miles from our Miramar apartments is the Oleta River State Park. Enjoy 15 miles of off-road cycling trails, paddle in the mangroves, or stay in a rustic campground overnight. You’ll find it hard to believe this slice of heaven is just 30 minutes from Miami. Sunny Isles Beach
Boasting 2 miles of sparkling white sands and warm, turquoise waters, Sunny Isles Beach is absolutely stunning.
