Frightening Amounts of Fun near our Mason Apartments

It’s fall here at our Mason apartments which means it’s time again for an annual Halloween tradition, Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt. Every October for decades, Kings Island morphs itself into the one of the scariest haunted theme parks in the country, going bigger and scarier each and every year. Just a few minutes up the road from our Mason apartments you can get the fright of your life and take in all the spookiness of the Halloween season at the “Best Theme Park Halloween Event” in the country according to USA Today. Here’s a rundown of what you can expect on your terror-filled trip to Halloween Haunt

Haunted Mazes

This year’s Halloween Haunt includes 9 terrifying Haunted Mazes throughout the park that are sure to taste the nerves of even the most experienced scare-seekers. Past Haunt classics like Backwoods Bayou, Blackout, and C.H.A.O.S. are back for another season of terror while new mazes like Slaughter House, and Urgent Scare eagerly await their first victims. Check out the full list of Haunted Mazes and decide which ones you’re brave enough for.

Scare Zones

If you dare enter the Halloween Haunt there will be 7 spine-tingling Scare Zones waiting to scare your pants off – hopefully not literally. Past terrifying zones like Coney Maul, Pumpkin Eater, and Dance of the Macabre are back for another scary season while newcomers International Street Fear, Rivertown Reaping, Shipwrecked, and Zombie Mall look to instill fear in the hearts of any and all who dare enter.

Sinister Shows

Take a break from all the screams and check out one of the 3 Sinister Shows at this year’s Halloween Haunt. Enjoy monster hits from Journey, Bon Jovi, and more at the ghoul-filled Monster Rock. New for this year is Haunted Homecoming, putting a spooky twist on popular songs from yesterday and today. Also new for this year is Drums of the Dead, celebrating the rich tradition of Día de Los Muertos in an interactive musical that will transport you into the underworld. Check out the complete list of showtimes and get ready for some scary good fun.

Thrilling Rides

Although ghosts and goblins have taken over most of the park, many of your most loved rides are still open during Halloween Haunt. Ride the classics like The Beast, and Vortex in the dark of night, or muster up the courage to ride new favorites like the Banshee or Mystic Timbers as the screams of the park visitors fill the night air. Even if you’ve been on these rides before, you owe it to yourself to experience them during the Haunt.

HallowTween

New for 2019, HallowTween offers young scare-seekers a chance to experience toned-down versions of some of the more popular Halloween Haunt attractions without the fear of running into one of the monsters roaming the park. Consisting of 4 different mazes – Blackout, C.H.A.O.S, Madame Fatale’s Museum of Mystery, and Shipwrecked – these family-friendly attractions will test your mind and your courage, combining the right amount of scary and fun. HallowTween is open Saturday and Sundays from 12pm – 6pm until October 27th.
