It’s no wonder why our luxury apartments in New Albany are a huge hit among growing families. With our spacious and upgraded floor plans, our newly renovated clubhouse, finished basements, sunny balconies, and fenced-in yards, our apartments in New Albany Ohio are great for families who love making memories together.
Perhaps one of the most exciting things about living here is our location. Located just 20 minutes from downtown Columbus, our The Estates at New Albany is within minutes of the Hoover Reservoir, and many other beautiful parks. We’re also a short 10-minute drive to Easton Town Center, which is the perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon with the family, and is home to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center.
LEGOLAND Easton: Every kid’s dream
Everyone remembers spending hours on end playing with LEGOs as a kid. (and let’s be honest – most of us still love playing with our kid’s LEGOs.) For every LEGO-maniac out there, there’s LEGOLAND Discovery Center: where kids of all ages can learn about their favorite brick-based toy and get creative all day long.
When most people first step foot in LEGOLAND, they’re struck by how vast it is. It just keeps going and going! The possibilities for fun are endless, and kids will love all the ways to get creative and build something awesome.
Start out at the LEGO 4D Cinema, where kids can enjoy their favorite LEGO characters like Emmet, Wyldstyle, Benny, MetalBeard, and Unikitty with extra 4D effects, like wind, rain, and snow effects that bring the movies to life. Catch The LEGO® Movie™ 4D A New Adventure, Legends of Chima, and Nexo Knights Book of Creativity to get you in the LEGO spirit!
Next, be sure to hit up Kingdom Quest, a super fun ride where kids must fight off beastly trolls and sneaky skeletons in order to save the princess! Merlin’s Apprentice Ride is also a huge hit among the kiddos. Hop aboard your very own enchanted cart to conjure up the sorcerer’s spell in order to become Merlin’s next wizarding apprentice.
The LEGO Factory Tour: Behind the scenes of the world’s most famous brick
Who doesn’t love going behind-the-scenes? Here at LEGOLAND, kids can learn how their favorite interactive toy is made at the LEGO Factory tour. No matter how old you are, you’ll be amazed at how many billions of LEGO bricks get pumped out of the factory every day, how they infuse such cool colors into the bricks, and how robots (yes, robots!) help out in the factory. You’ll also learn how bricks made 50 years ago fit perfectly with bricks made just a couple of months ago, which is definitely a part of the magic.
Discover Columbus… in LEGO form
Whether you just moved to Columbus or you have lived in the area your whole life, you’ll definitely want to visit MINILAND. Built with over 1.5 million LEGO bricks, MINILAND features detailed models of Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati landmarks in an interactive exhibit that sees the models transition from day to night. Can you spot your favorite Ohio landmarks? Can you also spot their mischievous LEGO friends hiding in MINILAND?
See if you can find COSI, North Market, the State House, and the Huntington Building in mini Columbus! Or try to spot Union Terminal in mini Cincinnati or the ice rink in mini Cleveland. You’ll be amazed at the level of detail dedicated to these mini-cities and the sheer amount of bricks used in the making!
Events at LEGOLAND for every time of year
No matter what time of year it is, there’s always something fun happening at LEGOLAND. In the month of October, LEGOLAND offers “Brick or Treat”, which features “Seasonal theming throughout the Center, (where you can) add a build to our LEGO Pumpkin Patch, enjoy giveaways, and more!” Kids who dress up in costumes will have a chance to enter into the LEGOLAND daily costume contest with multiple prize winners daily! It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween in a fun and safe atmosphere.
For the winter holidays, be sure to check out the Holiday Bricktacular where the whole family can get in the holiday spirit with holiday-themed building activities at LEGOLAND.
Decorate our Winter Village trees using an assortment of seasonal-themed LEGO bricks, or try to spot Santa and his reindeer hidden in MINILAND. Build a snowflake in the creative workshop, or write a letter to LEGO Santa (aka Maxx, the Master Model Builder). The Holiday Bricktacular is a creative and fun way to spend time with the whole family during the holiday season.
Halloween and Christmas certainly aren’t the only times during the year that LEGOLAND celebrates. Be sure to check out the LEGOLAND website for more event listings and to buy tickets to the Winter Wonderland Adult Fan of LEGO Night, LEGO Movie Days, and much more.
