The best museums you’ll want to visit in Cincinnati not too far from our apartments in Anderson

One of the greatest things about living at our Anderson Township apartments is that it’s located in an area that is rich with culture and history. Cincinnati has an incredible backstory with a fascinating past and a bright, optimistic future. The city also boasts some fantastic museums where you can learn about this history as well as enjoy art and other exhibitions that are being featured. Here are some of the best museums within a short drive from Arbors of Anderson.

 

Cincinnati Art Museum

 Less than 20 minutes from our apartments in Anderson is the Cincinnati Art Museum. Located in Eden Park, art-lovers will love wandering through the halls of this gorgeous museum featuring over 67,000 works spanning 6,000 years. Guests can enjoy permanent exhibitions as well as traveling and temporary exhibitions as well. Current and upcoming exhibitions include American Painting: The Eighties Revisited and Simply Brilliant: Artist-Jewelers of the 1960s and 1970s. Contemporary Arts Center

 The first U.S. museum designed by a female architect is the Contemporary Arts Center and it’s just a quick 20-minute drive from home. Known as one of the first institutions in the U.S. dedicated to displaying art, the CAC boasts three floors of ever-changing art (nothing is collected) from world-class artists. You’ll also want to take your family to visit The UnMuseum dedicated to family-friendly artmaking and interactive art. American Sign Museum

Another fantastic place to bring the family is the American Sign Museum. The largest public museum in the country, the exhibitions will walk you through a 100-year journey through America’s signage history, from gold-leaf glass to neon and plastic to lightbulbs. Wander around over 19,000 square feet of exhibit space with 28-foot ceilings to accommodate larger signs and don’t forget to check out the working neon shop. Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal

 This one-of-a-kind, multi-museum complex is housed in the remarkable Union Terminal – the Cincinnati Museum Center. With over 1.4 million visitors per year, you’ll love spending a day (or multiple days!) exploring this collection of fun and interesting museums in one amazing place.
