Three new names will be added to the partner wall at the Central Support Office after partnership announcements today during the August Awards Breakfast. Partners come from virtually every department and every job description in the company – central support office, sales, management, maintenance and grounds. All have an ownership stake in The Connor Group and its properties.
Director of analytics Tyler Oberly received his promotion midway through the August Awards ceremony. He joined The Connor Group four years ago after working in the National Football League. He is a key contributor for the Dispositions and Acquisitions team in analyzing the properties we buy, sell or refinance.
“When I think of acquisitions like The Boulevard, Sawyer at East End or Wynhdam, those are acquisitions that would not have been possible without his elite analysis,” said partner and senior vice president Brock Wright.
Tyler has been instrumental in refining and improving our sell/hold analysis.
“He puts the team first, willing to help anyone whether in his department or outside,” said founder and managing partner Larry Connor. “He builds key relationships at the central office and in the field.” Senior executive recruiter Kara Kershner received the second promotion to partnership. She started at The Connor Group in 2019 and has been instrumental in recruiting key talent to the Debt, Analytics, Acquisitions and Dispositions Department. Senior vice president of talent acquisition, Chris Jemo, noted Kara personifies grit and relentlessly hits her goals. “Kara has been a game changer in conducting some of our most critical and difficult candidate searches.”
Kara is a leader in the department, training new recruiters and assuring they are successful.
“She is a great ambassador for our company,” said Brock. “Someone that can communicate our culture and what we stand for.” Partner and chief pilot Brett Hunter presented the final promotion to chief mechanic Ted Stephenson of the flight department. Described as “The man” and the “Heart of the Flight Department,” Ted joined The Connor Group in 2018.
“He is a great airplane mechanic, but he is more than that,” said Larry. “He is a leader in how he evaluates people and holds them accountable in the true Connor Group fashion.”
Ted has been proactive in keeping all the planes in Connor Air operating on time and safely. Ted is responsible for more than the maintenance of the airplanes but also the organization of both hangars near the Central Support Office.
“His true character shows through his effort and devotion to the operations of the Flight Department,” said Brett. “He consistently shows people count with his dedication to the flight staff, and he certainly keeps us looking good with an on-time performance of the aircraft.”
Congratulations to our newest partners!
