Staying at the top of the leaderboard is what drives lead tech Charlie Klare. This year, he’s showing exactly how it’s done.
So far, Charlie has done 2,560 work orders at Somerset at Deerfield in Cincinnati, more than any other Connor Group associate, all while maintaining a 4.87 customer service score.
For the past three months, Charlie has claimed the No. 1 spot out of every user on the Chadwell/AppWork Coins Leaderboard. This is a national ranking among all technicians using the AppWork platform, not just The Connor Group.
AppWork is the digital platform used by technicians to receive and log work orders, track progress and collect customer feedback. Coins are awarded through the app based on performance, customer reviews, and quality of work. Positive reviews earn coins and negative feedback or callbacks cost coins.
Last month, representatives from Chadwell Supply visited Somerset to hand-deliver a new tool bag as recognition for Charlie’s top performance. In total, 13 Connor Group associates finished in the top 25 on the national leaderboard for June, each earning a tool bag as a prize.
“The bag is definitely an upgrade. I was due for a new one,” Charlie said. “I can fit more tools, even my drills. I can zip it up when it rains and it’s waterproof. It’s really nice.”
At a 498-unit property like Somerset, that efficiency adds up. And with his own top spot secure, Charlie is also focused on helping others climb the leaderboard, starting with Somerset’s turn technician, Jeffrey Dutina.
“Jeffrey is already in the top five for turns,” Charlie said. “I want him to push me. My goal when training anyone is to get them to the point where they’re better than I am.”
For Charlie, the coins, the leaderboard, and even the tool bag are just recognition of what really matters: daily details, good work, and helping others succeed.
