Connor Group expands in Nashville at record pace

Oct. 26, 2020 –  The Connor Group closed its second Nashville acquisition in 90 days, more than doubling its footprint in the Music City. The Dayton-based real estate investment firm acquired Cross Creek at Murfreesboro today, formerly Cross Creek at Victory Station, for $40.26 million.

“We believe you can accomplish anything with the right people, plans and process,” managing partner and CEO Larry Connor said. “Recently, we’ve been able to build relationships in the Nashville area, helping us find fantastic properties that fit our operational model. Cross Creek is a property that is right down our fairway.”

Cross Creek is situated in the Murfreesboro submarket, a popular suburb approximately 30 miles southeast of downtown Nashville. The property’s Class A location, along with spacious floorplans, fits perfectly into The Connor Group’s operational model. In August, the company first entered the submarket with the purchase of Waterford Place. Connor Group officials said they’ve been actively looking to expand in the market over the last five years.

“Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve found opportunities,” Connor said. “Our aggressive yet disciplined approach has paid off. We’ve been fortunate as an essential business not just to survive, but thrive during these challenging times. Cross Creek is another example of our associates’ commitment and relentlessness.”

The Connor Group has now closed or placed under agreement $1.4 billion in transactions this year. Cross Creek is the company’s fourth transaction in the Nashville market.

The Connor Group, founded in 1992, currently owns and operates 43 luxury apartment communities in 14 markets across the country.
