Thanks to honest employee feedback, The Connor Group recently earned national recognition in three Top Workplace Culture Excellence categories: Compensation & Benefits, Leadership and Purpose & Values.
In February, employees across the country participated in an anonymous workplace survey through Energage, the organization that partners with USA TODAY’s Top Workplace program. Their responses highlighted what sets our culture apart and put us in the running for even more national recognition later this year.
These awards reflect the daily experiences of the people who power The Connor Group.
In the Compensation & Benefits category, 88% of associates say our benefits are great. In fact, the survey results show our score is 23% higher than the industry average of Real Estate Investment Top Workplaces for 2025. Leadership also stood out, with employees recognizing a culture built on accountability, discipline and leading by example.
“Leadership here isn’t about titles. It’s about doing what we say we’re going to do,” said partner and senior vice president Sal Gracia. “It’s about building trust and earning it every day.”
Our recognition for Purpose & Values highlights something that candidates often ask about: what makes The Connor Group different. “Our purpose is real,” said Angela Burns, partner and director of recruiting. “It drives performance, impacts lives and connects people to something bigger than themselves.”
This marks the second major national honor for The Connor Group this year. In addition to the Top Workplace awards, we earned a Gold Stevie Award for Company of the Year – Real Estate (Large) from the American Business Awards for the second consecutive year.
The American Business Awards are one of the nation’s premier business award programs, open to organizations of all sizes and industries across the U.S., from startups to Fortune 500 companies. This year, more than 3,600 nominations were submitted and judged by over 250 professionals worldwide, covering everything from customer service and leadership to innovation in AI.
“To win at a national level says a lot about our people and how we work,” said Katie Powell, partner and senior director. “We compete at the highest level, hold each other accountable, and treat the business like it’s our own.”
From anonymous surveys to national recognition, these awards are a direct result of the people who make The Connor Group what it is. Their feedback didn’t just earn us awards; it helped shape the culture we’re proud to be known for.
