Last Friday, the gym at The Greater Dayton School was filled with laughter, excitement and holiday spirit as students and their families gathered for the school’s annual holiday celebration, Winterfest. After a special lunch, students opened gifts and celebrated the season together.
The celebration was made possible through support from The Connor Group and its nonprofit arm, Kids & Community Partners. In the weeks leading up to the event, Connor Group associates purchased and wrapped gifts for GDS students, turning wish lists into hundreds of presents ready for the day.
This year, 189 students at The Greater Dayton School received holiday gifts. More than 80 Connor Group associates and GDS staff volunteered their time to support the effort, helping ensure every student had a memorable holiday experience.
“We want to build culture and community not just among our students, but their families as well,” said Ryan Ernst, Partner and Director of Kids & Community Partners. “Everything we do is centered on creating meaningful experiences for our kids.”
Winterfest reflects the broader mission of Kids & Community Partners, which is funded by The Connor Group and supported by the company’s performance across its real estate portfolio. As the business grows, so does its ability to invest in education and community initiatives like The Greater Dayton School.
