Deeper Roots Coffee

This charming coffee shop sources and crafts some of the best coffee in the city of Cincinnati. When you’re a resident of our apartments in Oakley, you’ll surely be a regular at Deeper Roots Coffee in no time. Although they have three locations across the area, the Oakley location is their maiden coffee bar. Stop in first thing in the morning for a specialty coffee and a pastry or come by for an afternoon pick-me-up.

Oakley Pub & Grill

Sometimes, all you want is a giant pile of nachos and a cold draft beer. You can get that at Oakley Pub & Grill otherwise known as OPB. This neighborhood favorite has an extensive menu with all the pub fare you could ask for. Diners will have a hard time choosing between their delicious wings, tasty flatbreads, generously-stuffed sandwiches, and juicy burgers. You’ll find an impressive beer list and rotating daily drink specials. Be sure to check their calendar for events like trivia night and live music.

The Oak Tavern

Speaking of wings and nachos, another option for great American food is at The Oak Tavern. Much like their pub neighbor down the road, The Oak Tavern has a massive menu with a dizzying amount of choices. Post up with some friends or unwind after work with a refreshing cocktail and an order of their award-winning jumbo wings while watching the big game and be sure to keep an eye on their calendar for upcoming events.

MadTree Brewing Company

Beer and great pizza, that’s what MadTree Brewing Company on Madison Avenue is all about. Guests will always find a great selection of their core beers like the Psychopathy IPA, Lift Kolsch, Happy Amber, and PSA Pale Ale, but MadTree likes to keep things interesting with seasonal and limited series beers as well. Catch-a-Fire Pizza is serving wood-fired pizzas at MadTree with unique sauces like fire-roasted red sauce, artichoke crema, buffalo sauce, and creme fraiche. Don’t worry about leaving your furry friend behind. MadTree allows pets in their outdoor beer garden which is covered and heated during colder months. Check their calendar for upcoming events and new tappings.

Bones’ Burgers

Bones’ Burgers knows burgers so if that’s what you’re craving—this is where you should walk to. Starting off as a food truck for 6 years, they opened a brick and mortar location and residents of our apartments in Oakley couldn’t be happier. All of their burgers are local grass-fed beef burgers but they offer a veggie, salmon, and turkey option as well. From there, you’ll just have to choose from one of their 15 specialty burger choices or build-your-own. Sides include parmesan cheese fries, chili cheese fries, and sweet potato fries. Pick up an order to-go on your way home from work or sit down and enjoy it in-house with a homemade lemonade or craft beer.

Red Feather

If you’re looking for something a little more upscale without being pretentious, Red Feather is an excellent choice. Known as being a ‘scratch kitchen,’ Red Feather’s menu includes plates to share with chicken skins, scallion, hot honey, and “ranch” dressing as one option. The staple items boasted on their menu are a burger with Boursin, candied bacon, red onion marmalade, and fries, as well as short ribs with bourbon porcini jus. You’ll most certainly want to enjoy your dinner with a glass of wine from the restaurant’s extensive collection. They have over 40 wines by the glass and over 200 by the bottle. You won’t be disappointed by their brunch either. Stop by between before 3:00 pm every day for their unforgettable brunch.

Bar Louie

Watch the game, enjoy late-night food, or come in for brunch at Bar Louie. This welcoming bar and restaurant has daily drink specials like $4.50 glasses of wine during the week, $2 mimosas on the weekend, and $5.50 martinis during happy hour. Hungry? Not a problem. On their flavorful menu, guests can choose from their signature flatbreads, massive salads, huge burgers, made-from-scratch sandwiches, and phenomenal entrees (the chicken and churros are mouth-watering). Don’t worry, you can work off some of those calories on your mile walk home.

Aglamesis Brothers

A meal isn’t complete without dessert. Special occasions aren’t the same without ice cream. And romantic gestures aren’t the same without chocolate. Luckily, you can find all of those things at Aglamesis Brothers. Pop in for a scoop of their signature butterscotch or mocha chip ice cream or head home with a box of almond bark, salted caramels, or salty chocolate-covered pretzels. Be sure to stop in often as they have rotating seasonal specials that will keep you coming back for more.
