The nationally-ranked comprehensive research university has seven degree-granting schools and is a distinguished center for teaching and research – located less than 3 miles from our apartments in Uptown Dallas. The university also offers 32 doctoral degrees and over 120 master’s degree options.
Founded in 1911, the highly-rated private Christian university’s main campus is located on 237 acres centered around Bishop Boulevard. There are also campuses in Taos and Plano. The main campus was ranked as the most beautiful campus in America by Condé Nast Traveler in 2016.

According to their website, “SMU offers 17 NCAA Division I-A teams in basketball, cross-country/track and field, swimming and diving, golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball (women only), equestrian (women only), crew (women only), and football.” In addition, the school also offers a few special interest sports clubs and as well as an extensive intramural sports program.
