Beautiful beaches near our Bayside Arbors apartments in Tampa
If you’ve never been to our local beaches, have you even been to Tampa? As soon as you move into your new apartment in Clearwater, FL, be sure to grab a towel and some sunscreen and beeline it to the beach, because we have some of the most beautiful beaches and crystal-clear water in the sunshine state.
Clearwater Beach, in nearby Clearwater, of course, is the closest beach from our Bayside Arbors apartments. Crystalline, laid back, and clean, you’ll love Clearwater Beach’s soft sands and meandering boardwalk. After spending a full day swimming, jet-skiing, or paddle boarding, be sure to attend the sunset festival on Pier 60, complete with street performers and local artisans. Clearwater Beach is also a great spot to walk around the boardwalk for a relaxing afternoon. Kids love the life-size dolphin statues and adults will want to relax in the beachside cabanas that help protect beachgoers from getting sunburned.
Not too far away, but so worth the drive, you will find a beautiful beach to relax the day away at the Ben T. Davis Beach. This narrow stretch of sandy beach offers amazing sunset views of Tampa Bay and is a wonderful place to comb the beach for interesting rocks and seashells. In fact, one local says, “This is the perfect beach for people who want to experience nature a little closer.” Here, you can go fishing, swim in the warm, shallow water, or grill up some delicious grub in one of their picnic shelters. Boaters can launch sailboats and motorboats of all sizes from the boat launch and enjoy a day among the waves.
Perhaps one of our favorite features of Ben T. Davis Beach is that Whiskey Joe’s is walking distance from the surf. So, if having fun in the sun works up an appetite, be sure to hit up this festive beach-side bar for some delicious grub, happy hour drinks, and toe-tappin’ live music. You’ll want to stay late enough to see those unforgettable sunset views.
St. Pete Beach is — you guessed it — in nearby St. Petersburg. One local says, “The sunsets here are stunning! There are also convenience stores and restaurants across the street in case you forget something or get hungry, and the water is warm but refreshing! Great for family vacations or simply to stop and catch the sunset.” That’s one of the many reasons we love living on Florida’s gulf coast: the sunsets are truly a sight to behold.
Jogging, Canoeing, and Live Music: Tampa’s Riverfront Parks
We have a couple of incredible riverfront parks close to our apartments in Clearwater. Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is simply a dream for dog owners, and is a beautiful drive from your home at Bayside Arbors apartments. This large, fenced-in grassy area is a great place for you and Fido to play fetch, to throw a blanket down for a picnic, or to catch some live music. One local says, “I love this park! At night, the fountains light up with LED lights and there are tons of inspirational and motivational quotes carved into the brick walkway. Overall, amazing place with positive vibes!”
Another great park nearby is Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park, a resident favorite. Break a sweat on the well-kept jogging path, bring the kiddos to burn some energy on the playground, or simply relax and watch the boats go by on the channel. And speaking of boats, Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park is a great place to launch your canoe for a day out on the water!
