Flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and the festivals are happening—spring is upon us, my friends! Not only does that mean that residents of our Mallard Creek apartments can grill by the poolside and take a dip in the resort-style pool, but there are also plenty of fun activities happening nearby.

Charlotte has tons of fun spring festivals going on this year (following safety and health guidelines, of course). Here are just a few of the happenings taking place near Greenway at Mallard Creek.

North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival – May 6-7

Celebrating its 10th year, the North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival takes place on the historic site and farm, Historic Rural Hill. Guests will spend the day enjoying amazing live music and local craft beer from some of North Carolina’s favorite brewers. You won’t want to miss the energy-filled Friday Night Jam that’s free to attend with the purchase of festival tickets. Seafood Fest at Sycamore – May 8

Oysters, crab, and lobster? Yes, please! You can find tons of delicious, fresh seafood, along with live music and activities at the Seafood Fest at Sycamore. Taking place at Sycamore Brewing, less than twenty minutes from your front door, visitors of the Seafood Fest can gorge on some of the tastiest fares from the ocean, including Baltimore Crabcakes, oysters from Oysters Carolina, Chef Lee’s Seafood, Lobster Dog, and Mike’s Vegan.
