Things to do in Dallas this week near our Las Colinas apartments

There are so many reasons to love living at Allura Las Colinas apartments – gorgeous floor plans, incredible amenities, and a neighborhood with tons to do. Not to mention, there is always a fun event happening nearby, so you’ll never have an excuse to be bored. Here are just a few of the fun happenings taking place near Allura Las Colinas.

 

The Margarita Mile

When: Ongoing

Where: Multiple locations

What: Love margaritas? You’ll want to download the app and participate in the Margarita Mile. Within the app, you’ll be guided to stops that have some of Dallas’ best margaritas – both frozen and on the rocks. As you visit each stop, check-in and earn rewards as you go. While you’re visiting each location, order up a margarita of your choice and nosh on delicious food along the way. Visit the event website for details.

Thursdays on Tap at the Perot

When: Every Thursday from July 15th to September 30th from 6-10 pm

Where: Perot Museum of Nature and Science

What: This 21+ event allows adults to experience the museum with live music, drinks, and food trucks from some of the best local vendors. Also included with a price of the ticket is full access to all of the museum’s exhibit halls. Alcohol and food are an additional cost. Visit the event website for details.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare

When: July 15th to July 24th

Where: Samuell-Grand AmphiTheatre

What: This fun event near our apartments in Las Colinas parodies the works of William Shakespeare. All of the plays are performed in a comically-shortened method and are performed by only three actors. It will be laughs and fun for the entire family. Learn more here.

Cost: $20 for adults, children under 10 are free.

 

The Market at the Sound

When: August 20th to October 22nd (once a month, varies)

Where: The Sound at Cypress Waters

What: Spend the day checking out local vendors at artisans of The Boho Market at The Sound. This pop-up makers market brings handcrafted, vintage, and local items to the open-air venue and there are six restaurants located nearby for a bite to eat. Check the event’s website to see when they’ll be at The Sound next.

Wunder Series: Rooftop Remix

When: July 30th to September 3rd, every Friday from 10 pm to 2 am

Where: Happiest Hour, 2616 Olive St., Dallas, TX, 75201

What: Another high-energy and fun event for the 21 and older crowd is the Rooftop Remix hosted by Wunder Series at Happiest Hour. Take in gorgeous city views with handcrafted cocktails and some of Dallas’ hottest DJs. Learn more at the event website.

Cost: Free admission with option for bottle service

 

The Dallas by Chocolate Tour

When: July 24th to January 16th, every weekend from 1 to 4:30 pm

Where: Five varied locations

What: Chocolate pastries, chocolate truffles, and frozen hot chocolates? Yes, please! On the Dallas by Chocolate Tour, you’ll hop on a motorcoach and head to five of the city’s finest chocolate havens to experience some of their tastiest treats, guided by your personal chocolate expert along the way. You can BYOB which makes it great for birthday and bachelorette parties. Purchase tickets here.

Cost: Children $48 and adults $53

 

The Wine, Bites & City Lights Tour

When: August 14th to November 13th, one varied Saturday per month

Where: Various locations starting at Urban Vines Wine Bistro

What: This evening for adults over 21 starts with some wine tasting accompanied with various cheeses and charcuterie boards before you board a motorcoach en route to incredible pizza, insanely delicious desserts, and unique neighborhoods. The price includes transportation via private motorcoach, wine tasting, specified food at venues and great beverages on the motorcoach (you can also bring wine purchased at the wine venue to enjoy while you’re at the pizza restaurant and on the bus).
