One of the greatest claims to fame of the area is the famous Bourbon Trail. Kentucky is well-known for its unique bourbon, and for those that live at our Norton Commons apartments, some of the finest distilleries are located nearby. Spend the day or weekend tasting different varieties of bourbon and learning about the history of the liquor at these distilleries and establishments near Veranda at Norton Commons.   Kentucky Artisan Distillery Less than 15 minutes from our apartments in Norton Commons is the Kentucky Artisan Distillery, “where distilling is an art.” Currently known as the official home of Jefferson’s Bourbon, thanks to a partnership, they mash roughly 75 bushels of grain each day from the 700-acre neighboring farm, Waldeck Farm. Producing over 35 barrels a week, their spirits are produced from grains grown and malted right here in the area.
