Our spacious floor plans at Austin Springs apartments are perfect for entertaining family and friends, but sometimes you might want to get out and mingle with the community. That’s why the monthly game nights at Austin Landing are so fun – bring your family, bring your friends, and enjoy playing lawn games that are sure to stir up some friendly competition.
Join the community at Austin Landing for Game Night every Monday through Wednesday, May through September, to challenge your friends to some fun games in the park. It’s a great way to blow off some steam, with games that include Ladder golf, giant Jenga, cornhole, and more.
It wouldn’t be a game if there weren’t any rules! Austin Landing makes this part easy by posting large signs in the park with game rules displayed on them and by listing the rules on their website as well, ensuring every player can easily enjoy the games.
The best part? Game Nights at Austin Landing are FREE! According to their website, “All we ask is that you leave the games as you found them and set them up for the next group of players to enjoy after you’re done.” It’s a perfect way to spend a fun evening with the kids outside and you can pop into one of the shops and get some shopping done while you’re at it!
Cars & Coffee at Austin Landing
If you’re a car enthusiast and haven’t heard of Cars & Coffee, you’re in for a treat. This nationally-recognized gathering is 6 years strong and has grown dramatically with more than 800 cars in attendance.
Cars & Coffee has more than 200 locations across the US, and the one here at Austin Landing represents the largest gathering in the state of Ohio. It’s a great way to meet people with similar interests close to home near Austin Springs, whether you love vintage German cars, modified Japanese cars, or a beautiful Porsche. You can even meet drivers from the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and find out when the next big race is at Mid-Ohio!
For the “coffee” part, The Hilton Garden Inn comes out for every Cars & Coffee gathering to supply a delicious spread of breakfast and coffee! All they ask is for “no revving, no speeding, no burnouts, and no fast exists.” Otherwise, you can have all the fun you want with your newfound car friends.
JoyRide: Cars for a Cause
In a concerted effort to give back to the community, Austin Landing hosts monthly charities for various causes throughout the year. One of which is “JoyRide”, a car club exclusively for kids with special needs. According to the JoyRide website, “During JoyRide events, kids trade the everyday worry of doctors visits and medication for a chance to cruise in high-end or one-of-a-kind cars. Along with car rides, JoyRide kids enjoy a chance to make new friends, network and build a sense of belonging.”
It’s good to see people coming together for such a good cause, and we encourage anyone to volunteer, bring their own car, or even to just come look at the unique cars on display.
Seasonal Celebrations
No matter what season it is, there’s always something to celebrate at Austin Landing. Whether the kids are celebrating school being out for summer or you’re getting ready for the holidays, the community knows how to throw a good party.
One of our favorites is “Pumpkin Party in the Park.” Every October, Austin Landing partners with Kettering Physician Network to host the fall event, kicking off the autumn season and getting everyone in the autumn spirit. According to their website, the “Pumpkin Party in the Park” is a great time to “whip out your favorite boots and scarfs, grab a pumpkin spice latte or hot cocoa and head over for some fun at Austin Landing for a night of Pumpkins in The Park!”
The fall festival is complete with professional, internationally-recognized pumpkin carvers who carve giant pumpkins live for everyone to see, free face painting, glitter tattoos for kids, photo booths, bounce houses, hayrides, and even pumpkin giveaways! Kids can run through the pumpkin patch, make silly faces in the harvest-themed photo booth, and express their creativity with chalk art.
For the winter holidays, everyone comes together for the Kettering Physician Network Tree Lighting. It’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit with the entire community, and the kids love it! The Kettering Physician Network Tree Lighting includes holiday dance performances, a parade, pictures with Santa, and much more. The tree lighting is also a great excuse to get a jump start on your Christmas shopping!
