In fact, sometimes the lake is so still that the surface of the water looks like glass, making for great photo opportunities. The trail that surrounds the lake is lined with colorful wildflowers in the summer months, creating a birdwatcher’s paradise. Markgraks Lake trail is also great if you love to get outdoors with your four-legged friends. Open all year round, Markgrafs Lake Trail offers a unique experience every season that will keep you and your furry friends coming back again and again.

Powers Lake Park: For A Hike or a Picnic

Just 5 minutes away from Markgrafs Lake is beautiful Powers Lake. Roughly the same size as Markgrafs Lake, Powers Lake is surrounded by scenic prairies and fields in which your four-legged friends and kids can burn some energy. Complete with a lakeside trail, a fishing pier, and a canoe launch, Powers Lake Park is the perfect place to bring the dogs and the kids for a day in nature.
