Dunwoody Nature Center

When you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, head over to the Dunwoody Nature Center, just over ten minutes from Flats at Perimeter Place. Round up the family and take a stroll through the center’s beautiful nature trails, or learn about the local flora and fauna by stopping into the learning center with all sorts of fun information. Treetop Quest

If you’re looking for something a little more adrenaline-inducing to do outside, you’ll definitely want to check out Treetop Quest, also just over ten minutes from our Dunwoody apartments. “Treetop Quest Dunwoody’s aerial adventure park will challenge you physically and mentally as you maneuver from tree to tree through obstacles and zip lines. Once you’re equipped, we’ll teach you how to operate your equipment, and you’ll be able to swing through each course as many times as you want for 2.5 hours,” it says on their homepage. Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area

Take a peaceful walk to enjoy nature and wildlife, raft leisurely through the rocky shoals with friends, fish the misty waters as the sun rises, or have a picnic on a Sunday afternoon—you can do all this and more at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. There are 48 miles of river and 15 land units at the park, so, it makes it the ideal place to spend an entire weekend or even just a few hours. Morgan Falls Overlook Park

Boasting over 30 acres, Morgan Falls Overlook Park is a fantastic place to spend the day outdoors or catch a gorgeous sunset. The riverside park is just 15 minutes from our apartments in Dunwoody and includes picnic pavilions, a playground, restrooms, a boat dock, hiking trails, a fire pit, porch swings, and scenic views.
