Monon Trail Opened in 1999 as a 10-mile bike-and-pedestrian pathway, the Monon Trail has become one of the most popular outdoor destinations in the area, if not the region. Known as one of the “best urban biking experiences in the U.S.,” this railway-to-trail conversion project now has 20 miles of paved pathways to enjoy which connect you to arts, culture, and tourist attractions.
